Safe and caring environment

We at Heatherside House are all fully committed to ensuring that our residents feel safe, respected and valued every minute of the day. We also aim to provide a stimulating environment including as many activities and experiences as we can, whilst giving the space and peace for our residents to make their own choices too.

Independent living....

Our residents are allocated a key worker who will build a special relationship with them, thereby generating a feeling of wellbeing and friendship. Within a framework of assessments our residents will be supported and encouraged to develop independence and freedom with security being paramount at all times.

Gardening....

Heatherside veg plotThe large open garden is a safe area where residents are encouraged to try their hand at gardening. There is a busy vegetable patch where food is grown for the kitchen. However if sitting in the tranquil setting and just enjoying the beautiful views and clean air is what’s wanted, then that’s just fine too! The secure sensory paved garden is ideal for having a breath of country air even if the rest of the garden is damp underfoot.
